Auditions for the Eakins Vocal Consort
The EVC's annual membership auditions will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2008
from 10am-1pm
at the University of Pennsylvania Music Building, 201 S. 34th St.
Interested singers with choral experience at a professional, semi-professional or advanced collegiate level should send a brief resumé to the director at director@eakinsvocalconsort.org and will be notified of their time slot upon receipt.
A very small number of vacancies exist for all voice parts (SATB)
Audition requirements:
1. One short solo song or aria in a language other than English (pianist provided; bring score)
2. Sight reading in early and contemporary choral styles (English language)
All ten places in the choir are potentially open - this is our annual re-audition session.
A full program of Monteverdi's Book IV Madrigals is planned for May 16 and 17.
Singers will be compensated with a modest honorarium.
